Namira has come a long way from the time she was enrolled at 11 yrs. Initially she would come shabby to school. Now she comes in a neat and clean uniform with hair tied. The team along with literacy and numeracy skills is working on her vocational and daily living skills. Earlier her mother would complain that Namira is reluctant to help her in the household chores but now she makes tea and helps her mother.
Though she can hear, she is unable to speak. Hence Namira is undergoing speech therapy regularly. She communicates mainly through gestures and even shares stories. She is able to write her name. Namira has matured over the years and even takes care of the younger children at the Sangharsh centre.
